  • Abstract
    An upgraded version of our former CAPillary Experiment CAPEX -known as CAPEX-U -has higher dielectric strength (due to its higher transverse dimensions), an improved adjustment possibility (due to direct optical access to both the high-voltage and the ground electrodes), as well as an excellent synchronization ability (due to laser triggered spark gap). we investigate exploding wire in a locally compressed liquid (e.g. by radial converging focused shock wave).
