The relationship between quality management and innovation is discussed in this paper. Such a discussion is important for the following reasons: to assess the relevance of quality management for management of innovation; to determine the usefulness of quality management as a resource for innovation; and to clarify conflicting accounts of the relationship between quality management and innovation.
