Abstract :
This paper contributes with studies for Long Term Evolution (LTE) deployment in the 700 MHz band and the requirements for its coexistence with the Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) service in adjacent frequency bands. The performed studies are based on the modeling and simulation of both LTE and DTT systems to assess the potential of interference from LTE transmissions into the adjacent band DTT service. Monte Carlo simulations are aligned with the assumptions, parameters, and scenarios agreed in European regulatory forums. Simulation results lead to some conclusions about the LTE-DTT coexistence requirements for the LTE deployment in the 700 MHz band.
