Abstract
This paper presents a way to utilize the sub-sampling technique for spectrum sensing in cognitive radio applications. The proposed receiver utilizes a bank of band pass filters and a high speed analog to digital converter/sample and hold, which can be dynamically tuned to a specific sub-sampling frequency using an adjustable frequency source. This type of architecture requires fewer RF components compared with the traditional receiver architecture.
