This paper focuses on the Basel Capital Accord Π. It is divided into two sections. Section 1 provides an overview of Basel II. The challenges, and the solutions for Chinese banks to meet it, are discussed in section 2. We conclude that this is in line with the practical need for the Chinese banks and, a good risk management mechanism is the ultimate solution to solve their difficulties.
