Abstract :
Emerging applications of contactless smart cards like video transmission and ICAO e-passport need high data rates and long range communication distances. In order to decrease time to market of new products, it would be useful to simulate the entire contactless system. The purpose of this paper is to present a new method to simulate the complete contactless system. This method is based on S-parameters measurements of the coupled antennae. A complete simulation of a contactless smart card operating at 13.56 MHz would be presented. The simulation results would be compared to measurements
