Abstract :
The group theory of geometrically uniform trellis-coded modulation is applied to the case of multidimensional phase shift keying (PSK) signal constellations. A general algorithm to find geometrically uniform partitions of signal constellations is applied to multidimensional multiple phase shift keying (MPSK) signal constellations. Examples of application to the case of trellis-coded modulation (TCM) schemes employing a 3×3 PSK signal constellation are presented
