Abstract
In this paper we present an algorithm for codeword adaptation in the downlink of a code division multiple access (CDMA) system where the base station transmits information to multiple wireless terminals. The algorithm is based on interference avoidance and updates user codewords such that the corresponding signal-to-interference plus noise-ratio (SINR) at the receiver is maximized. Numerical examples obtained from simulations are also presented to illustrate the algorithm.
