  • Abstract
    Summary form only given. The report presents parameters and designs of high power microwave compressors in different frequency bands. Their resonant cavities operated with electric field strength values close to critical ones which allowed par ex. to reach the output pulse power 1.6 MW in Q-band and 1 GW in S-band. The study of gaseous switch operation was directed at improving stability of the output pulse radiation in repetitive pulse mode. The versions of the switch design which keep the transition attenuation value -40 dB of the compressor interference switch and provides rms deviation of the output pulse amplitude less than 5% at repetition rate 200 Hz are presented. Applications of the devices for determination of critical pulse field values during the study of electronic components vulnerability and usage them in radiolocation of small objects with clutter background were considered.
