Abstract :
The testing support system for telecommunication software is composed of a test case generation subsystem and a testing execution subsystem. The object of test case generation is to derive test cases from the specifications of the designed software module which is written in the CCITT recommended SDL language. An SBRANCH algorithm is proposed to derive sequences of signals and/or predicates to cover a path in the SDL diagram. Heuristic methods are given to form an executable path. The block diagrams of the whole testing support system and the test case generation subsystem are described
