Abstract :
An echo canceller with flat delay estimation is described. It consists of flat delay estimation and a 64-tap echo canceller with time delay. The cross-correlation method is adopted to estimate the flat delay and the complexity of calculation is decreased for real-time processing according to the characteristics of the echo path. Simulation results indicate good performance in convergence rate and tracking capability for the time variant echo path. A block diagram of the hardware and a flowchart of the program are included
