Carbon diplomacy is a brand new field in contemporary international relation arena. The United States emphasizes carbon diplomacy positively and has issued a series of related policies, which China can use for important reference. Referencing American experience, China should strengthen the ecological environment protection in carbon diplomacy, striving for international recognition, actively seeking external funding and technical assistance, improving the relevant laws and regulations to reach international standards as soon as possible, and changing the mode of economic growth to provide the strong diplomatic support and constantly open up a new situation of carbon diplomacy in China.
