Abstract
A new, yet simple, control method is developed for stabilizing unstable equilibrium points of piecewise-linear chaotic systems. The criteria for the design of the control parameters are also investigated based on the Lyapunov stability theory. This method is illustrated to be highly robust for system parametric variations. To verify the effectiveness of the method, it is applied to the chaotic Chua´s circuit, where satisfactory control performance is observed in simulations.
