Abstract :
Non-data-aided (NDA) SNR estimation is considered for M-PSK transmission over additive white Gaussian noise channels. An iterative SNR estimator is derived from an envelope- based estimator. The performance of the proposed estimator is compared to existing algorithms. Simulation results shown for QPSK and 8-PSK demonstrate that the new estimator clearly performs as well as the best SNR estimator in each SNR range.
