Abstract :
This article discusses on relationships between Uk´s low-carbon goals and its generation costs in the next decades. Based on UK Energy White Paper 2007, a scenario fit with governmental scheme best is selected and generation costs are calculated according to fuel sources. In addition, generation costs´ sensitivities to carbon fee rate, price rise rate and technological progress is analyzed. At last, it is concluded that under certain conditions, UK´s low carbon objectives are not only environmental goals, but also economical feasible goals. The importance of nuclear plants for future UK electricity generation is proved in this article.
