The paper described the connotation and characteristics of the value chain of vegetable industry. Upon such a basis, the author deeply explored the problems and shortages in the present value chain system of China´s vegetable industry. Finally, the paper suggested a set of approaches to optimize the value chain system of the vegetable industry.
