Abstract :
This paper proposes an automatic calibration method for the adaptive array based on transmitting signals for frequency division duplex (FDD) systems with a linear array (ACT-FL). This method utilizes signal circulation between antennas and calibrates transceivers, antennas, and cables between branches without requiring an additional antenna for the calibration. In order to show the effectiveness of ACT-FL, we clarify the calibration accuracy and the element spacing suitable for ACT-FL. The SIR characteristics are also evaluated using an experimental adaptive array testbed in the presence of co-channel interference (CCI)
