Abstract :
A circularly polarized slot antenna for bluetooth applications is proposed in this paper. The rectangular slot is excited by a coplanar waveguide feed terminated on a hexagonal patch. The measured impedance bandwidth is from 1.6 GHz to 3.0 GHz while the measured axial ratio is from 2.00 GHz to 2.65 GHz. The antenna has a peak gain around 3-4 dBi in the operating band. The radiation patterns are omnidirectional in the H-plane and dumb bell shape in the E-plane. The measured results are found to be in good agreement with the simulated results.
