Abstract :
New developments of electromagnetic type focused shock waves generators (ESWG) are presented: generator with foil tape inductor, generator with coaxial inductor and the three beam generator. The new high current circuits of discharge contours of generators are considered: a contour with the pulsing transformer and contour with crowbar. On the basis of electromechanical model of the electromagnetic generator, including the equation of a membrane or cylindrical shell motion and equation of a discharge circuit, simulation and optimization of designs of generators for parameters of acoustic shock wave pulses used in a lithotriptor is given. The technical decisions directed on increase of reliability, stability and decrease of the operational charges are considered. Experimental model of the generator with foil tape inductor ensuring regulation of the spatial and temporary characteristics of a shock wave in focal zone is described. The research results of new applications of shock waves generators in biology and medicine are submitted: permeabilization of tumor cells under simultaneous action of shock waves and pulsing electrical fields, transfection of gene under action of shock waves, sterilization of liquids.
