Abstract
This paper presents some preliminary report on a novel design of miniaturized dual band bandpass filter at 1.8 GHz and 3.5 GHz using coupled Bamileke fractal architecture shape resonator. The obtained passband exhibits a 10dB FBW of 5% and 9% at 1.8 GHz and 3.5 GHz respectively. The average insertion loss within the passband is found to be 1.41 dB and 1.23 dB at first and second passband respectively. The design topology is explained and the novel resonator is characterized. A 26.15% resonator size reduction is obtained.
