Abstract :
Satellite communication, especially mobile satellite communication, developed rapidly since the 1980´s. The satellite communication constellation systems have been designed and implemented using UHF or C or S band with satellite in medium or low earth orbit (MEO LEO), adopting the multi-beam or point-beam antenna technologies. The interference from the covered area, especially the intended interference, destroys the normal operation of the communication satellite. In this paper, the anti-interference performance of multi-beam satellite antenna is discussed from the point of view of counter-electron. Firstly, it is need to determine the azimuth and elevation of the earth station in the overlay of the satellite multi-beam antenna depending on the geographical locations of the satellite bottom point and the earth station. The simulation is then carried out with the linear constrained minimum variance (LCMV) algorithm. The simulation result shows that when the location of the desired signal is fixed, the nulling performance of the satellite multi-beam antenna can be destroyed seriously by changing the locations of the interference sources or adding the number of the interference sources. It is proved that the locations and the total number of the interference sources influence the performance of the multi-beam antenna greatly
