Abstract
A five-phase fractional-slot concentrated winding (FSCW) permanent-magnet synchronous machine (PMSM) used for electromagnetic propeller, featuring high power density and low noise, is investigated in this paper. Based on the theoretical and finite element analysis (FEA), the harmonic components and torque performance of the five-phase machine are analyzed in both healthy and faulty conditions.
