Abstract :
In order to reduce the connection of stator end winding of large waterwheel generator, unequal phase belt winding arrangement is used. However, the influence of this arrangement on the reactance of the generator is still unknown. In this paper, the reactance of a large waterwheel generator is calculated by the finite element method and the effects of unequal phase belts are discussed. Some useful conclusions are obtained.
