Abstract :
This paper proposes a new method for automatic construction of fault tree of control systems. The design of the knowledge base for the control systems are explained in details. An algorithm based on the OO models is presented for automatic generation of the digraph which describes the normal, failed and conditional propagation relations among the events in systems. This algorithm can also find the negative feedback and feedforward loops of control system automatically during the digraph construction. Simulation results show that the fault tree can then be simply constructed from the digraph by using a number of methods in the literatures.
