Abstract :
Various researches of LIM have long been carried out for achieving both high efficiency and high speed. Analysis using Fourier transform is the most typical and specific scheme to resolve the characteristics. Although it is widely used, it is far from perfect to take the end, the rim (coil end) and the slot effect into account. Then, it is necessary to study these phenomena. They had to be separated to see the effects independently. This paper, the end effect and the slot effect are separated by thrust force.
