Abstract :
A sleeve antenna mounted on metallic cylinder is analyzed by moment method. The electric characteristic parameters of this novel sleeve antenna are calculated, including the input impedance, the voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR), the horizontal gain and radiation pattern. Finally, a pair of practical antennas are designed, working in the 105 ~ 420 MHz and 225 ~ 600 MHz frequency band respectively. The calculated results are in good agreement with the experimental results
