Abstract :
This paper presents an augmented supplementary controller to enhance dynamic stability of power system. In order to achieve satisfactory dynamic characteristic over a wide range of operating condition, speed deviation (/spl Delta/) is taken as input signal to the conventional supplementary controller. This improved supplementary controller uses the conventional supplementary controller in the traditional manner plus an additional feedback signal as a function of the accelerating power and the accelerating torque.
