Abstract :
We develop a swim support system using an underwater buddy robot called “Swimoid”. We define the term “Buddy Robot” as a category of the underwater robot that has the two abilities below. One is the capability of giving out information to human by the use of some display technologies such as LCD displays and LEDs. And the other is the ability to recognize the user and to follow him.
