Abstract
An aggregate load area model (ALAM) incorporating with an aggregate exponential recovery model (AERM) is introduced in this paper. The ALAM can represent the dynamics of a complex load area in meshed power systems alongside network reduction. Simulation results on the IEEE 10-generator-39-bus New England system show that the ALAM is suitable to implement in long-term voltage stability analysis.
