Abstract :
In this paper we present a hybrid indoor infrared laser wireless system with tracked 10Gbps downlink and non-directed 1Gbps uplink. We show a novel localization system based on angle reflectors and image sensor that is able to provide exact coordinates of the receiver apertures. We also build simple mathematical model of the downlink and the uplink and show some mathematical results for the bit error rate for example networks. In the models we have considered the ambient noise, the amplifier spontaneous emission noise and the thermal noise. Furthermore, the link budget of the links is discussed.
