Abstract
This paper offers a summary of marine-energy development activities in Nova Scotia. The history, characteristics and structure of the Nova Scotia Electric Grid are discussed. The R&D capabilities related to marine energy and the commitment of the Federal and the Nova Scotia governments to renewable energy are highlighted. The Bay of Fundy experimental test site and related organizations are introduced.
