Abstract :
Sink Trail is a proactive routing protocol for mobile sinks to collect information from various sensor nodes based on its recent trails. The efficiency of the sink trail protocol was exhibited in terms of both route length and energy consumption. In this paper, we propose a security enhancement over the sink trail protocol to ensure higher network performance and secure communication. Security is equally important to that of routing to keep all the malicious activities away from the Wireless Sensor Network (WSN). Polynomial bivariate key is used for communication security in the network. Network simulator is used for analyzing the proposed enhancement on the Sinktrail Protocol, which is called as E-SinkTrail.
