Abstract :
An electro-optical antenna measurement system is setup by replacing the traditional RF coaxial cable with an electro-optical system and optical fibers. It can reduce the disturbance of electromagnetic field around the receiving antenna caused by transmission cables, and thus enhances the measurement accuracy. In order to validate the proposed system, the stability of this system was evaluated. And comparisons of signal variation for different cabling configurations were carried out between RF cable and optic fibers. The comparison results show the improvement on cable radiation effect by using this electro-optical system
