Abstract :
High-pressure region accelerating a projectile in plasma-dynamic launchers may induce a resonant deformation of barrel. A projectile interaction with dynamic asperities, arising on a barrel surface, causes degradation performance of these launchers. This paper represents the analysis of the famous experimental results, which confirm the essential influence of resonant deformation on the characteristics of EM launchers with plasma armature.
