Main fundamental factors for obtaining foreign direct investment are the economic development level and investment environment of a country. The more rapidly the economy develops and the better investment environment improves, the more FDI flow into the country. Except for fundamental factors, however, there are many financial variables including exchange rate. Exchange rate volatility changes the quantity of the cost and yield which is exchange into domestic currency. Therefore, it is meaningful to study on the impact of exchange rate on FDI flowing into a country or a region and to develop the economy. Now many literatures have referenced to the relationship of exchange rate and FDI. Nonetheless, little research study on the relationship of exchange rate and FDI in Jiangsu province. So a more comprehensive econometric regressive model will be established in this paper, which contains more variables, to analyze the relationship of exchange level change and exchange rate volatility on FDI in Jiangsu province. The main conclusion will be referenced by economy development of Jiangsu province.
