Abstract :
The well-known equations of a long transmission line (TL) are considered and invariant quantities for voltage and current along the length of transmission are derived. The usefulness of these transmission invariants is indicated by providing interesting applications under the conditions for maximum transmission efficiency of the transmission line. The educational value of the electric transmission invariants in teaching the theory of TL is also apparent.
