Abstract :
We present a simple and accurate semi-analytic methodology for performance evaluation of wireless video transmission in multicode DS-CDMA (MC-CDMA). Based on the novel approach (as well as on entire system simulations), we analyze performance of H.263 in an IS-95B system over slow fading channels at low bit rates. Peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) values for various video test sequences demonstrate that important improvements of the video quality can be achieved by using feedback error control schemes. In addition, we investigate the effectiveness of the combined use of error correction and error resilience techniques for reliable video transmission in MC-CDMA systems.
