Abstract :
This paper presents a good compact ultra wideband (UWB) antenna that is suitable for worldwide applications. The proposed antenna covers the common UWB spectrum for USA, Europe, South Korea, Japan, and China. Its unique miniaturized planar shape enables it to be easily embedded in any UWB transmitter or receiver. A transmitter/receiver (Tx/Rx) system of two identical proposed antennas is built in the real lab environment to measure the time domain characteristics. A good agreement between the simulation and the experimental results is achieved.
