Abstract
This paper demonstrates the effect of locating distributed generation units at practical distribution feeders on their voltage profile and power system losses. Different scenarios are: studying and showing the system efficiency and voltage regulation in case of placing capacitor banks, DG units and with both considering optimum capacitor locations and proper locations for DG units. The results of this work have shown a great improvement of both voltage profile and system losses.
