Abstract :
A transfer matrix has been computed, the elements of which represent the contributions of elementary dipole layer sources situated at the ventricular surface to the resulting potentials on the torso surface. The transfer matrix is stored in the memory of a personal computer (IBM type). The QRS waveforms at the torso surface are simulated by specifying the time instants of local depolarization of each of the heart surface elements considered. One of several stored sequences may be selected. The resulting QRS waveforms are displayed on a monitor. The timing of individual heart surface elements is changed interactively, and the resulting waveform changes are displayed instantaneously
