  • Abstract
    In this paper, the urethane pyramid is optimized numerically with regards to the reflectivity, because the pyramid absorber is widely used in anechoic chambers. The absorbers fitting for a specific chamber vary with the size and shape of the shielded enclosure. A new type of hollow ferrite pyramid is presented herein and optimized numerically. The performance of this new type of absorber is compared with that of the traditional plane ferrite tiles by the criterion of reflectivity. The results of die simulation have good agreement with some published ones. The results of simulation in this paper can be referenced in practical design.
