  • Abstract
A new whole-heart model is proposed for the simulation of normal and pathological propagation of cardiac activation. The effects of myocardial fiber anisotropy on propagation and on the subsequent calculation of ECG potentials are included, thereby permitting more accurate simulations. The isochrones, ECG and VCG potentials corresponding to normal activation of the model, are similar to published results. The introduction of the His-Purkinje system into the model permits the simulation of various types of bundle branch blocks
