Abstract :
DPSK modulation is considered and the channel is modeled as the multipath Nakagami fading type, which has been recently taken as a general model in communication environments. Most recent papers have assumed that the Nakagami fading index (m) of each branch of a RAKE receiver is fixed at the same value. However, the Nakagami fading index (m) of each branch of a RAKE receiver takes several values through communication environments. In this case, the branch which takes a small Nakagami fading index (m) is excluded so that we can improve performance. We also consider phase error and analyze a wideband DS-CDMA cellular system. Also when the Nakagami fading index (m) takes a voluntary value, we analyze the BER of a wideband DS-CDMA cellular system
