Abstract :
Utilizing the reciprocal theorem and transformed transmission line model, a closed form analytical solution in a very simple expression for the receive performance of a planar microstrip line in the frequency domain is presented, which indicate how the receiving performance of the microstrip line depends on the parameters of the microstrip line and the incident electromagnetic wave. Using the HFSS software by Ansoft, the coupling of an incident electromagnetic wave to a planar microstrip line is simulated. The simulation results are compared with the analytical results obtained in this paper, which shows fairly good agreement
