Abstract :
In this paper, a scrambling scheme based on selected mapping (SLM) without explicit side information for peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) reduction in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) employing phase shift keying (PSK) is proposed. Different from phase weighting process employing complex multiplications in SLM, simple scrambling process is implemented in proposed scheme, and the side information is reliably associated inside the data block by using signal constellations in different shapes. Simulation results show that, compared with optimal SLM (O-SLM), proposed scheme can obtain the same performance for PAPR reduction and better error bit ratio (BER) performance.
