Abstract
In this paper we consider two multistage multiuser DS/CDMA detectors in multipath fading channels. The first detector is a modified version of detector proposed in Hui and Letaief (1998), and the second detector is a combination of the first one used as a PIC (parallel interference cancellation) detector and a detector called SIC (serial interference cancellation). These detectors take the advantage of multipath diversity to improve the signal to noise ratio (SNR). We also use an adaptive method to compute the threshold levels. We obtain an analytical equation for BER (bit error rate). The results show that the mentioned methods achieve much better performance than taht of Hui and Letaief
