Abstract
This paper presents near-field scattering analysis by parallel FDTD algorithm on COW (cluster of workstation) parallel computing system. Our work is divided into two parts. In part 1, the computing space can be calculated on single PC. Far-field RCS of scheme is computed in both serial FDTD computing and parallel FDTD computing. It is found out that the adopted parallel strategy is feasible. In part 2, the computing space is too large to be calculated on one PC, so parallel FDTD method is used to computing near-field scattering of the scheme on COW parallel computing system with 12 PC nodes. The good results obtained of research is show that parallel FDTD algorithm is quite valuable for the near-field scattering computation of electric-large structure.
