  • Abstract
This paper presents a method for determining the economic dispatch of the controllable electric load (demand) of a group of buildings for demand response purposes when including utility network constraints. A previously developed generic problem formulation to minimize a facility´s overall electricity cost is discussed, with particular focus placed on the addition of utility network constraints. Certain assumptions derived from real-world building issues are presented as a foundation for this method of load dispatch. The problem is set up as a linear programming problem, and a specific example finding the linearized static demand dispatch of a 3 building facility is presented to demonstrate this approach.
