Abstract :
Analytical model for hysteresis cycle of soft magnetic materials using arcs of circle and straight line segments shown in [2] has been improved to minimize the error between the measured and modelled cycles. To this end, the LabVIEW program, initial presented in [2], has been improved to be more user-friendly. For the new model presented in this paper, the data that are necessary for modelling are collected from measured data using sorting methods developed in LabVIEW. The input data required to be inserted by the user are reduced to just two points not very precisely chosen from measured hysteresis cycle. The program makes to slip these two points along measured cycle to achieve minimum error between measured and modelled cycles. The advantage of the proposed analytical model over other more known models is given by the small amount of input data supplied by the programmer. This program allows, as indicated in [2], to obtain minor cycles, first-order reversal curve or first magnetization curve using a reverse mapping function starting from major hysteresis cycle, properly modelled. This was the reason for these improvements were made to the LabVIEW program. For consistency, the proposed program allows comparison of measured and modelled data to observe the benefits obtained by the method of minimizing error used.
