Abstract
In this paper authors studied the relationship between the board members´ degree structure and firm performance by SPSS 16.0. The empirical study of this paper shows that Chairmen, other executive directors and independent directors´ degree are not significantly correlated to firm performance. But, when introducing the variable Board size, we found the proportions of directors with doctor degree and directors with master degree (relative number) are positively correlated to firm performance. However, the scales of directors with bachelor degree and directors with college degree are not significantly correlated to firm performance. So, the more directors with high educational background in the Board, the better it is to improve firm performance.
